Achieve your goals on your schedule
Welcome to my EMDR Intensive Program! I'm happy to see you here, and I'm excited about the meaningful work we can do together.
You're here probably because your life is busier than most and your schedule is probably packed, just like mine. So you know the value of time and how important it is to be productive. The intensive format works with your current lifestyle because it is months of regular weekly therapy packed into a few days.
And the best part: EMDR isn't limited to trauma! While it's incredibly effective for processing traumatic experiences, it's also a powerful tool for addressing a variety of other issues, including anxiety, depression, phobias, addiction and so much more.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps us heal from the emotional distress caused by traumatic experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain process and integrate traumatic memories, reducing their emotional intensity and impact.
EMDR therapy with us is a collaborative and client-centered approach. You are an active participant and engaged throughout the process. We will be guiding you through each therapy step while respecting your unique needs and pacing.
How EMDR Works. A brief overview:
1. History Taking and Treatment Planning: This initial phase involves gathering information about your history, identifying relevant events, also referred to as targets for treatment, and developing a treatment plan.
2. Preparation: Your therapist helps you develop coping mechanisms and strategies for managing distress that may arise during the reprocessing of memories.
3. Assessment: This phase involves identifying specific target memories, including images, beliefs, emotions, and physical sensations associated with the trauma.
4. Desensitization: Here you will be focusing on the target memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation (e.g., eye movements, tapping, or sounds) to process the memory and reduce its emotional charge.
5. Installation: This phase focuses on strengthening a positive belief related to the target memory.
6. Body Scan: In this phase you will scan your body for any remaining physical sensations related to the target memory.
7. Closure: This phase involves bringing the session to a safe and calm conclusion.
8. Reevaluation:The therapist assesses the effectiveness of the treatment and makes adjustments as needed.
We will always try our best to accommodate different scheduling needs. The EMDR Intensive Therapy can be conducted in two different ways:
We understand you may already have a therapist providing weekly support. EMDR Intensive Therapy can be seamlessly integrated as a supplement to your existing therapy experience. It serves as a supercharge to your ongoing treatment, allowing for a deeper exploration of targeted issues and accelerating your progress toward lasting change.
